Hey all!  So, you all mainly only have ever seen me when I have worn my hair down.  And hair I have.  It is thick, wavy, and super coarse.  Chemical straighteners don't work their magic very well either.  My hairdresser actually hates when I come in and want it styled after my cut and color because it takes FOREVER to dry (she actually makes me sit under the dome drier for a while before she finishes it off herself because her arm gets too tired - lol).

Needless to say I have a LOT of hair, so when I received an email asking if I would consider reviewing a clip that works wonders in minutes flat, I was super skeptical.  I mean, I have to wear 2 rubber bands in order to hold up a pony tail.  But, even though you all only ever see it down (it looks way more presentable), on a daily basis, I am a "hair-out-of-my-face" kind of girl.  Those rubber bands are never far away.  But, I also know that teachers can use any time-saving tips in the morning that are out there too because we never have enough time.  So, I decided to give it a whirl.

Here is the fun doodad I was sent.  It is called the Flexi Hair Clip from Lilla Rose and mine is the large clip (but they come in several different sizes).

It also comes with super easy picture tutorials sowing you how to do several different styles, including a ponytail, french twist, half-up, and more.

I decided to try out the french twist so I could get the hair out of my face so I could work today and it literally took me about 2 minutes to twist it and insert the clip.  Here is the shot I took in the bathroom of what it looks like in the back:

Now, it wasn't perfect, but it was my first attempt and the hair is holding in the clip nicely.  For me to do the same style, I normally have to make sure it is damp, and I have to use a butterfly clip and a TON of bobby pins.  This was ONE hair utensil and viola!

Melinda, the Lilla Rose consultant who sent this over to me is a former classroom teacher/current homeschool teacher, understands how something as simple as this could really help other teachers out there too.  I would agree that if you wake up late in a panic, this hair accessory could really come in handy for getting your hair ready in a snap.  Or maybe you just want to sleep in a little later.  :)

Want to win one?  Melinda has graciously agreed to donate a clip of your choice to one lucky reader here at Organized Classroom!  Head on over to her Lilla Rose page to check all the styles our for yourself!  They also have some gorgeous badge holders and other hair products too.  Good luck to all who enter and wishing you all a great hair day.
